Tucked in a quiet corner of Port El Kantaoui, about three kilometres from the marina, this hotel gazes out over golden sands and sapphire seas. You can literally walk through the grounds, past the enormous sun terrace, down to the beach. Of course, you might prefer to simply chill out around the pool. Peppered with elegant parasols and plenty of sunbeds, it's certainly impressive. But then this is one impressive hotel. Step inside and you'll come face to face with an eye-popping atrium. All polished marble and glass-fronted elevators, it sits at the grand end of the opulence scale. Its traditional, Tunisian-style dark wood decor is something of a talking point. And so is the food – it's delicious. Mind you, the main buffets are amazing, too. If you want to work off some of those calories though, take your pick from activities like tennis and volleyball. If relaxation's more your thing, make the most of the sauna, Turkish bath and whirlpool. Come the evening, there's just as much on offer. Sip a cocktail in the piano bar. Put your best foot forward for a slow dance. Or perhaps boogie 'til the wee small hours at the disco. Now, there's just one more thing about this hotel that deserves a special mention. The staff. They go out of their way to cater for your every need. Nothing is too much trouble for them. And it's always service with a smile. After all, this is part of the prestigious RIU hotel chain and your holiday enjoyment is at the forefront of their minds. Just as it should be.

The hotel is beautiful, staff are so friendly, speak good english. Michelle the Thomson Rep is lovely & very helpful. Food is good, although you get bored of the buffet. Indoor pool was very warm. Nothing to do outside the hotel, need to get a cab... more on this review
